Hyaluronic acid is used - same as for lip fillers which last 6-18 months.

Totally unregulated industry - I've known some nasty cases when I used to work for an aesthetics dr. People losing their eyesight, permanent damage to their lips, butt lifts resulting in death.

If men do this, I hope to hell they choose a medically qualified practitioner not some high street charlatan.

And in the case of fillers, they can be administered by non-medical people, unlike breast implants or tummy tucks etc. So, the risk of improperly qualified people causing harm is much greater unfortunately.
