What do you do to get away from this mad crazy time we live in from time to time?

Is it a good book? A little time playing a game online or alone?

For me personally, it is a little time out in the countryside or walking around with my camera in my hand just snapping away lost in the moment of creating something from the everyday...

For me there is nothing better then getting out on the rock for a climb. In the fair weather anyways. Winter months are usually indoor at the GCC or TCA.

Oh and wanking also.

I take my dogs out. Or sit with them and read.

At the moment I work a lot , so have little spare time, so I don't do a great deal

I have a lot of hobbies because if I lose my mojo, I can just pick up something else.

I’m an Artist and craft addict, and not bad on a sewing machine lol

When I’m feeling Meh, I take my dog out for a big trek somewhere, nature has amazing ways of making us feel positive and recharged!

When she's not around it would be reading or a little gaming. Both take you to a far off place

Once a month, I'll turn off all my stuff and wander. Get on a train or a bus, go see something I've never seen. Might be a mountain, or a new library, or some funky coffee place. Whatever, it resets me.

That, or I just nip over Thumper's for a wank.

Walking with the dog is a great escape imo.

Dogs show the important things in life : catching up on the peemail, sniffing another dogs behind, engaging in a futile attempt to catch a squirrel, greeting other dogs.

Digging out some old vinyl and playing it is great too.

Yes, I know exactly how you feel; our lovely Springer Spaniel died last Christmas Eve aged about 17 and 1 month and it is very lonely without her, and walks have become sadly uninteresting and pointless, as you say.

My job keeps me very busy, I spend a lot of time with my kids (26 & 15), I have a beautiful relationship with my best friend Mr NBVN and we enjoy running and walking/hiking together- exploring new routes and supporting each other whilst training and recovering from injury.

For me Fab is small distraction from a busy and enjoyable life.

NBVN x

I believe there are some places where you can dog share, for things like walks.

There's obviously a trust thing to resolve, but it sounds like a nice idea.

My dog would not turn down any offer of a walk

Indeed, but with any birds or animals always check what it is safe and helpful to feed them; too much bread isn't good for ducks, etc.

I used to take a drive to an isolated part of the countryside and sit for hours looking up at the stars, with some music on. It’s a bit easier now I don’t have to drive.
