Nope it's only three days of decadent eating/drinking for us ... no presents to speak of (unnecessary commercialism) as all adults now but awesome friends/family get togethers which we just love! And like the rest of Europe we celebrate all on the 24th too!

"Humbug"

I experienced huge amounts of abuse as a child, often centred around family occasions. I am also autistic and find it overwhelming in a sensory way.

So, yeah, not a fan. I'm sorry that leads you to make assumptions about me.

I like the build up to Christmas more than the actual day tbh.

That is good and germany knows how to put on a great christmas market as well. I remember when I was in köln years ago, there was a big christmas market, lots to see and do, it feels like it was yesterday

?

I'm not a fan if I'm honest, it's all a lot of unnecessary hype and commercialism. I'll be sick of hearing Mariah Carey and Slade by November, I'll get tetchy because the shops are all crowded with people buying pointless stuff that their friends and relatives don't want, and I'll have to endure a tedious work do

Roll on January!

You can have my share of Christmas.

Could literally coat a dog turd in glitter write merry Xmas on it and some mug would queue up to buy it.

I’ll be laying on a warm beach.

Someone mention humbugs?

We shall also be on a warm beach, having sandwiches for lunch and cocktails for mid afternoon refreshment. We did make a kind-of turkey dinner for tea last year on our hols, so will probably do so again.

Can't be arsed with it. Don't have a partner or kids, can't be arsed with the commercialised nonsense, and overall just find it depressing. So I'll be working and waiting for it to be over.

On the other hand, Halloween and Bonfire night has sweeties and pumpkins and fire. I'll take notice of those!
