"Evan Peters was fantastic…….. I finished it last night " The irony of a situation at the end… I have to be vague so I don’t spoil it but wow. It was all so well done. It’s really given me food for thought too. So much loneliness and misunderstanding amongst the evil and horror.

"I personally believe that if he got away so many times it is partly because he is white. " That was the take in the story, I liked how it highlighted these issues along with corruption in the Police Departments which may of hindered investigations.

At the 2nd episode I first thought they would start to humanise him by talking about his childhood and all the psychological shizzles that comes with it but glad they did not.

"Watching it just now. Enjoying it so far. Strange that when you look at the dramatisation you feel vaguely sorry for a mass murderer. " Yep, I found myself empathising with Dahmer, the vulnerability despite being a violent murderer.... Kind of makes you realise that we are all an unconnected synapses away from becoming something similar

"It's grim to say the least but gripping, I blame the mother " Yes because she was the only one to raise him right ?!

"It's grim to say the least but gripping, I blame the mother Yes because she was the only one to raise him right ?! " Despite the Father saying he had similar murderous thoughts but never acted on it.....And she wasn't the one who taught him preservation techniques with roadkill The Mother had post natal depression I believe, the Dad blamed her and all her medication but I believe it ran deeper...She was on that stuff because of the Father's behaviour towards her..... Nature/nurture. Maybe Dahmer was not wired up properly but to blame his abandonment issues or any of his issues on his Mother is pretty harsh...He was 17 when she left, and the Dad wasn't around either at that time. I believe it was a combination of a lot of things, parenting and unsecured attachment can impact on brain development influencing which neural pathways are connected and which ones are lost. His sexuality probably had a part to play too and he did not fit into a societal norm wherever he was.

"It's grim to say the least but gripping, I blame the mother " She had undiagnosed post partum depression. Don’t blame the dad who cut up roadkill with him though

"It's grim to say the least but gripping, I blame the mother " It is the combination of things in his life. No single act that happened was the sole cause, but the series of events that led to it. Which for quite a lot of those with similar issues will be the case.

"Watching it just now. Enjoying it so far. Strange that when you look at the dramatisation you feel vaguely sorry for a mass murderer. " The parallels with Dennis Nilsen are interesting. Similar motivations and similar methods. Both didn't want people to leave yet any sane person would realise killing them means they're never coming back. It is in many ways as sad as it is disturbing.

"I don't get the fascination with serial killers." Likewise. We've never felt even the remotest bit of interest in the genre. It's just ghoulish and macabre to us.

"It's grim to say the least but gripping, I blame the mother Unbelievable! " Always turns out to be a woman's fault whatever a man does something wrong doesn't it.

His sexuality probably had a part to play too and he did not fit into a societal norm wherever he was." When his dad came back three months after and got upset because she left him alone ?! I was like you just did the exact same thing. Whatever happened socially he seemed to not have any feelings whatsoever. At least he has no regard for the feelings of others, because he did have feelings when he got rejected. Not gonna lie, I loved when vengeance came but thought it was too straight forward and the guy should have made it last. When they fucking give the award to those two policemen I lost it ! No wonder why some folks do not like the police when you see stuffs like that. If I do something that made my company losing money, I’d get fired. No matter what. They gave back to a serial killer a 14 years old child who just escaped !!! They didn’t even run any check on. Him despite the neighbour being deeply concerned !

"Is anyone else wondering why there is a load of serial killer series on Netflix Dahmer Bundy gacey the most fucked was that series "worst room mate" anyone seen that " Not really no, it's because it gets the views. It's interesting and in places, at times, insightful. It intrigues people, the issue is the dramatisation and Hollywood takes on such things. Drama/thriller movies and shows are made all the time, and have been for years, the only difference is that these are largely based/retelling of actual events. For some of them, they are still close to the time these killings took place like in the case of Dahmer so things are still raw, especially to family members of the victims. But still, you change the names and the vast majority of people would have no idea it really happened.
