Are you the same in person as you are on t’internet?

Like maybe you’re more confident behind a keyboard than in real life, or maybe it’s not until people meet you face to face that your real charm comes to the fore?

Or maybe online you is exactly the same as “in person” you?

I like to think I’m mostly an open book and similar online as in person - but I am shy and quite nervous about meeting new people at first until the ice is broken so maybe it takes a short while to get fully into my swing.

But what about YOU, Fabsters? I’m curious to know!

I think I am. I’m confident and bubbly. Can walk into a room alone & meet a stranger with confidence…. Although in real life & internet a lot of it is bravado. I don’t actually think I’m half as attractive as I pretend to be.

I gather that I can come across as abrasive online...from my point of view I'm exactly the same, but people obviously can't see my body language, smirk, or hear my tone of voice online, so aren't aware that it's sarcasm or piss taking, and not bitchiness. I guess emojis don't fully portray that *shrug*

Ish. Kind of. Some situations I find difficult for various reasons and it takes me a while to "warm up". But once I'm more comfortable, yes. I think I'm possibly more likeable in person. Less nerdy. Waffle just as much though. And I don't know, my voice and facial expressions convey a lot of how I feel whereas sometimes I deliberately exaggerate wording on posts. Or am more straightlaced because it tickles me.

Oh I flirt more in real life. Just as poorly. More often though.

Perhaps the internet is part of the backstage? Or is it an extension of the front stage?

I think the internet is the extension of the written word. Victorian artwork & love letters that were dirtier than the exterior…. I will spew filth in written word that I would blush to say out loud (but still be happy to physically do).

I’m very shy , at first , but a fast ice breaker . ( I think )

I don’t find social stressful .

Stressful is the fear of rejection , not even got to the social yet … just in chat and is already kicking .

Just waiting for a reply from someone u really like is already a massive thing .

As more exciting as more you love her in her profile , as harder the anxiety kicks and u not even got to the social yet

I’m the same .

Aways been free spirit.

And I never give a toss what people think or they opinion . In fact , they can fuck themslefs with they opinions and put themselfs in they own business … all they want is bastardise u and hurt you .

I am what I am , I’m lovely and a sweetheart and I don’t care

I can’t fake or pretend or hide or use masks .

And I wouldn’t . I refuse to charme n wear masks . .

Freedom .

My image only changes a bit in dating site , there I don’t say I like FFM . First cause I’m fully happy with a lovely 1o1 and for many people as soon as u talk about 3 way they automatically think they will never be good enough n u never be happy - not true .

Is what it is , if a lady doesn’t like , I’m sure there will be plenty more closer to her preference ^^

Like … a lot more. So… respect

I am much differant online and in real life.

Here I am flirty, confident and funny.

In real life I am painfully shy, suffer social anxiety and think I am not worthy of meeting anyone.

I think it is so much easier to be who you want to be online. It offers you that safety net of just switching off.

In person you dont have that.
