In my twenties I was terrified of them. I'm starting to become quite partial to a beard now. My tastes are unexpectedly changing as I head towards some sort of "maturity".

To be honest I need to take it off for work at times and think I look way too young without at least stubble.

As a man with a beard I would say it's down to the individual who has a beard to look after the beard and make it soft. Just like somebody who shaves if you let the stubble come through it's as bad if not worse than being with somebody with a beard.

For me I don't need to worry about it because I don't tend to date females with beards.

This also trim your beard a few days before the meet to give the sharp cut bristles a chance to wear off

Yes Sir you are absolutely right.

I have a few friends who go why is your beard not so long. Because I'm a gardener I trim it control it and tame it.

Growing a beard also requires a lot of patience.

Well that is very weak.

My weakness is a woman who can actually take control (not dominant) but isn't afraid to pin you up the wall and make the first move.

That was applied to gay men with a wife. In that phrase the wife is the beard.
