Thanks but I was thinking more of the small ones, not fond of those super crowded cruisers. Yes they seem to be super expensive

Yes it is, have been to a few places in the area, just never done a cruise along the river. A week or so on a nice small boat sounds great.

Done the Rhine, the Seine and the Rhone, one twice.

I really enjoyed them although we were the youngest passengers on board. That said, we had some fascinating dinner companions.

Yes, we went with Riveria travel and they were excellent. Never got round to trying the Viking Lines, who seem to have more adverts. Ships only carry @120 passengers. Crew are amazing but work very hard so you come to appreciate them. Food and standard of the ships is excellent. Organised trips that you can pick and choose whether you want to go. We used to join for the first part and then go off and do our own thing..Really enjoyable holidays.
