Thinking of taking myself away for a The Holiday style break this winter as I've got A/L days coming out the wazoo (sorry not sorry).

Any suggestions for cozy spots to watch snowfall from with a glass of red and/or curl up with a Jude Law type neighbour?

North West

Lots of lovely log cabin hideaways in the Lake District and direct trains up from that-there London.

Titz Towers, North Notts

Northumbria is glorious. Coast, castles and a superb second hand book shop at Alnwick

Indeed.

In fact the Wensleydale creamery is a great place for a meal and some cheese shopping.

Ramsey

Bainbridge & Aysgarth on the A684 not far from Hawes are beautiful places to visit. I'm sure there must be little quaint places to stay. Nearby Semer Water is a very tranquil lake to visit & off the beaten track.
