Just my thoughts this morning after seeing the grandchildren's vigil.

How do you feel about the children and grandchildren of a loving mother and grandmother being put on display, forced to control their grief and televised to the world where every twitch is analysed and critiqued?

I understand people around the globe having great interest in, and sadness for, the world's longest reigning monarch, but a family has lost their matriarch. The queue, the condolences, the love from the public is wonderful, but it really doesn't sit right with me that tradition dictates the way the family must remain 'proper'.

But they are keeping it 'proper' in public. That's the British way or has been for centuries. True grieving isn't a show. It's natural and it comes and goes in waves for eternity.

Now in other cultures..... they wail and scream and weep and curse.... and just like our stoic show ....... it means fuck all ...... It's all part of the dance of life.
