"Google Nexus 7 32GB for £198.00 End the thread. " This is the one I've bought my youngest for Christmas. I've heard good things about it and the price was right PS Don't get an expensive cover ... Ebay do covers for every tablet and phone for under a tenner.

"You can get the Kindle Fire HD, Google Nexus 7, or even a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 as smaller tablets - but can't tell what the difference between them all ? Have a read of this comparison article http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tablets/features/amazon-kindle-fire-hd-7-vs-nexus-7-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-70-kindle-fire-264314 And you won't get any biased forumites telling you it's android vs apple wars going on " Forgetting the Apple vs Android stuff and assuming you already know Android is the way forward I would really steer clear of the Kindle. It is a good bit of kit, no question, BUT it is tied to Amazon with no access to Play Store. I am sure there is a hack out there somewhere but it should be able to access it right out of the box. That means you are tied to Amazon approved content, where you could buy another tablet that performs as well for the same money, can access all available content and just download the Kindle app. Just my opinion though
