Agreed!!

Had to stop using salt when living with someone on low sodium diet, and it took a while for my taste buds to adjust but yes just taste the actual food

That said... Got to have gravy on a roast though.. made from the meat juices.

You need gravy with a roast dinner, not to mention mint / apple / horseradish / cranberry sauce too, depending on the type of meat you’re having.

And I would always choose to have a jug of peppercorn sauce to dunk my steak into
