Any ladies out there with pcos and used the implant have better expieriences on the mini pill of alternatives? My periods haven't stopped for weeks at a time and i litteraly get one week off between them, obviously it's not fun with the lifestyle and it's driving me and hubby nuts.

planning on babies after christmas so something short term but better would be great.

I don’t have PCOS but the injection is valid for 3 months. I had zero period when I was on it. You’d have to look into how it affects your fertility though.

I have PCOS, too I’ve never tried the implant or injections, but when I was on the mini pill, it gave me a period every 2 weeks. The doctor advised me (depending upon which type), not to the ‘sugar’ pills to bring on the period, but to keep on taking the other pills, as to stop a period from coming on.

I could never get on with the full contraception - too many side effects, but I did fall pregnant within a month after stopping it, after being on it for a short time.
