"What’s fake toothache?"

I had some teeth removed on Wednesday, 3 molars in a row, left a tooth then the eye tooth, so it’s actually the sockets inside that are painful but because there’s a tooth in between the pain is coming through that instead - Fake Toothache. It’s now happening on the bottom jaw where a bottom molar was removed

It’s very intense

If it’s spread and got worse then phone 111 for advice and to make you an appointment ASAP for when the dentists are open again. Not sure if they can get you an out of hours appointment, I do t know how it works with dentists. You might have an infection.

Worthing

Oil of Cloves. I think 'fake' toothache is when the nerve is 'complaining'. Goes off after a day or so usually.

What nerve? The nerve goes with the tooth, the one that’s left has a crown so no nerve. I’m 5 days in…

I have thought about an infection. It was very bad on Saturday but calmed down a bit yesterday. I think I’m just sensitive to pain. I’ve got antibacterial mouthwash which I’m doing 3/4 times a day. Anti-inflammatories have helped too.

No thanks, that makes me ill. I’m using a mouthwash anyway, dentists tell you to use boiled cooled water and salt because it’s a good substitute for mouthwash, and most people don’t have mouthwash In the house, I have two kinds, Corsodyl and a green one I quite like that I got when I had a mouthful of ulcers

"How are you feeling today ?"

Thanks for asking, I’ve called my dentist they think it’s dry socket so have an appointment later. It’s better than it was on Saturday (which was pretty unbearable) but now starting to throb a bit

It does sound like it's dry socket, incredibly painful. Hopefully the dentist is able to help you x
