Would be foolish to think there isn’t

99% off space is unexplored

Us humans can’t even get to Mars

Never mind out or solar system

Do I think they been to earth probably not

As any other planet species that could get to earth

Would be more evolved that us

We would have nothing to offer them

Apart from resources or banned word labourer

but I shour one day we find out as the minute we jump from ground to space travel is the minute we become a threat to others that can

Maybe they watching for afar waiting on the day we Become atvanced anuff

There are 2 trillion galaxies in the OBSERVABLE universe, each containing billions of suns, with possible planets in the 'goldilocks' zone.

At what stage life is on these planets, nobody will ever know.

Our brain will not allow us to think that the universe has no ending.

You'll be surprised how many people refuse to acknowledge this !! Look at civilisations thousands of years ago that knew how our galaxy worked knew how to build megastructures we are not capable of doing today .. knowledge passed down left behind..

The Drake Equation is certainly interesting reading. Admittedly, the equation itself will be difficult for most people to understand but it was fundamentally based on odds and was only intended to estimate how many intelligent civilisations might be present within our own galaxy (The Milky Way).

Anyway, the chances of life - especially intelligent life - evolving on a given planet (and not destroying itself) are vanishingly small. However, there are more stars in the known universe than there are grains of sand on the entire planet.

I doubt we'll ever communicate with another intelligent species in any meaningful way, though. Just like faster-than-light travel, superluminal communication is likely also a fantasy. The nearest civilisations capable of communicating through space are likely hundreds - if not thousands - of light years away. This is what happens if they are just 150 light years away:

Earth: Soz, nuclear war. Bye!

I think no chance at all , based on the Fermi paradox, the universe isn’t old enough or big enough for the probability of intelligent life to exist. So the theory of infinite reality including another version of us is zero

The way to travel huge distances to colonise the universe isn’t by bending space lol, it’s by sending self replicating AI. The stuff you are taking about is science fiction from 50 plus years ago when they didn’t know this

The Fermi Paradox - which I alluded to in my Drake Equation post - doesn't suggest there isn't intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. It suggests that if there is such life we're highly unlikely to ever meet or communicate with it.

Well I guess we have only been sending signals into space for the last 100-130 years. Given the distances between us and a place where intelligent life (as we understand it) might be. As well as the fact we have only been sort of looking for signs of life for about 50 years there is a big chance of intelligent life somewhere.

But like the above posts regarding Fermi paradox the length of time the universe has existed the distances and the short time humans have been here means we might never know. With life being so abundant on earth, existing in even the toughest conditions, its easy to think that it must be a regular development all over the universe, life evolving into intelligent life. But if not, its kind of scary haha what if its just us? And we keep wrecking the environment and finding new ways to kill each other.

Fingers crossed their just good at hiding
