It really was.

I was doing my mush getting ready for work and instinctively stood up and paused. It made me think how physical signs of respect are being left behind.

Bowing of the head as a funeral procession passes by. Removing of hats etc.

Nowadays people cut in line when there's a funeral procession on the roads, they "nip across" on foot. To me that's disrespectful and just bad form. You may not have known the person, you may not care they have died but surely you respect that the people who knew them are grieving? Surely others can appreciate that and bow a head or remove a bloody hat.

I think those traditions simply haven't been passed down through generations and its all just "fuck em, I don't know em"
