Menfolk of fab, be honest...which is that one romantic movie you actually like?

Ok KINGS...it doesn't matter how "alpha" or "masculine " or " Top G" you think you are, there's always that one romantic movie you actually like and enjoy watching...so which one is it ?

For me it's this little Keanu Reeves movie called " A walk in the clouds" . I really don’t know why, but always liked this movie for some reason and could watch it at any time...

P.S "Titanic" is NOT a romantic movie, it's a disaster movie! It doesn't count

The Terminator.

Wait, hear me out.

In a nightmarish apocalyptic future a soldier falls in love with a woman in a photograph. He is so in love with her that, when he learns that an assassin has been sent back in time to murder her, using a dangerous experimental process, he volunteers to go back as well to try to protect her.

When he arrives he fights selflessly to protect the woman he loves and, though the woman thinks he's mad at first, eventually returns his affection. They make love in an anonymous hotel room, as they hide from their implacable enemy.

Eventually, cornered by their superior opponent, the soldier gives his life to protect her. She eventually defeats the assassin but, with the soldier's death, the cost has been high. She has lost the love of her life. And, on learning she is pregnant with his child, she knows that her son is destined to send his father to his death and that their love is forever doomed.

Now,if that isn't a tragic love story, I don't know what is.

So, next time the missus wants to watch a romantic film, put The Terminator on.

Tough one, because romantic films come in many forms…

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - because it breaks my heart as Joel struggles to hold on to the memories of Clem as they are erased.

The English Patient - because it is utterly beautiful.

Blue Valentine - because this is a movie about real relationships (not one for a bad day)

Her - because she isn’t human.

Duke of Burgundy - because it’s a work of fucking art and perfection.

Rocky Balboa is a movie about handling loss and emotional redemption. A surprisingly emotional film.
