Que delicioso! As a veggie the tapas choice is a bit limited but another vote for patatas bravas.

Not sure I have a favourite (okay, it’s prawns in garlic!) - that’s the great thing about tapas isn’t it though, lots of small dishes of different things.

"I mean ....... tortilla is an omelette"

If it's flat, it's tortilla francés. Tortilla española is a chunky affair, usually with onion and always with potato in.

Obviously the use of a Sky remote to measure tortilla española depth is essential

People eat this in Mexico too- though it is more of a paneer-like fresh cheese as opposed to a Manchego but I have never been able to get my head round it! I love Manchego and I love membrillo (in Mexico we call it “ate”) just not together! Lol.

Chorizo and albondigas…

There are no good tapas near me.

I don't usually like sweet and savoury together, but I do like manchego and membrillo with some crusty bread

We have a lovely tapas restaurant near here. I'm not sure what my favourite is, I liked everything I had.

The first time I went I was still hungry afterwards though. My friend had dinner before we went out!

The original tapas were slices of crusty bread, over the top of your beer, to keep the flies out. Then some bars added a bit of cheese, or chorizo and then it evolved from there......

I heard it was like a traffic light system.. You ordered a tapas with the little clay paddle and the Miguel's in the bar used to tap the senoritas arses with them, which was a signal that they wanted to go home and cook for them...but only small dishes because sometimes they would tap 3 or 4 in one night.

You shouldn't be hungry after tapas unless you haven't ordered enough.

Yes that's about right, I'm just surprised you were still hungry after that. It does depend on what you order I think though.
