Last 2 have been disasters!

The first one sucked his teeth when he ate and made the most astonishing annoying noise ever , big no no for me

Had a social walk with another just , and he did nothing but yawn, like really really loud and just talked about himself

last date I went on, it went really well (in my head it did anyway) but messaged after and nothing.. so unless I'm giving off the wrong vibe or I did something wrong unintentionally, who knows. But to be fair, I rather be told upfront rather than being ghosted at least then I'm not lft pondering but that's just me

Try a different app. Bumble is better for women I think as you match, the man cannot talk to you until you have spoken first. So accidentally matching someone is easily rectified for you

Try a different app. Bumble is better for women I think as you match, the man cannot talk to you until you have spoken first. So accidentally matching someone is easily rectified for you

I’ve not had a proper date in well over a year now. I miss it but can’t be arsed to get to know someone again after it goes wrong, every time

There's a very, very smart guy called Professor Scott Galloway and he recently did a talk on how the digitisation of dating apps is ruining the real life experiences, just the way online shopping has destroyed high streets and social media has pretty much destroyed everything! Basically taking a physical experience online ruins it in some way, shape or form.

It's a really intelligent view on the whole rise of dating apps and services....it's on Twitter of you fancy a quick watch! X

I've been single for 4 years nearly- okay my 'otherness' doesn't help - I've been on countless dates and tried to initiate relationships and failed, like many others I've pretty much given up on the idea of finding a significant other half too.

It's definitely me. I'm a weirdo. People say they like my weirdness but they really don't and they don't know how to deal with it. For example, my manager has to remind me to do things at work all the time because my brain doesn't pick up new changes quickly. In a relationship, that can get irritating if I'm always forgetting things. When I burnout, I move really slowly and that can be irritating for people also. I also have emotional shutdowns when people think I don't care. I do care but my brain has been overloaded so I need time to offload, re-ground myself and then communicate. It's a burden to have to do almost daily.

Most people haven't got the skill or the capacity to deal with my brain/traits/weaknesses/flaws/quirks.

All I can do is be upfront about these things and work through them. People have bad habits....some are harmful and some are just irritating... I had a former husband who kicked his dirty socks under the bed. I just stopped looking for dirty socks under the bed and only washed what was in the laundry hamper. I never complained about his socks and he never complained about me not washing his socks. Problem solved.

I wonder if that broke the marriage...over dirty socks. lol!
