Yes there are, I have met with and chatted to policemen. Many do not openly advertise their profession and through conversation and a build up of trust they may share, others are very open and use their profession as a way to advertise themselves.

Yep, my FWB is a serving officer and could get pulled up on expressing his personal views about certain topics on social media, they have to be extremely careful about what they posts
