My dad was an amazing musician, couldn't read music but could play anything he heard on any instrument.. I could have say listening to him for hour playing the acoustic guitar

Hang drum.

It sounds like a piano, but more ethereal. It's a metallic drum you can play with mallets or your hands.

Old, cheap synths and drum machines. The shitter the better.

There's something about the fuzzy/detuned/tinny sounds they make that just makes me smile
