Who the fuck thought ‘lighter’ cheese was a good idea?

I want cheesy oatcakes (Stoke thing). So I whizzed round the supermarket to get the goodies yesterday, and inadvertently picked up a packet of this heinous stuff that had secreted itself into the full fat cheese pile!

Im now apoplectic with rage! It tastes like rubber jonnys.

Can you top that this morning?

I think "topping" a pile of lite cheese, will only disappoint you more!

I don’t know. But I’d wager the packaging probably has more taste in it than the cheddar within.

I suggest a strongly worded letter of complaint, from 'Raging of Guatemala'.

Was this shop Aldi? They’re a nightmare for mixing up stuff on the shelves. I’m always coming home with the wrong stuff.

Have you tried placing a slice of cheddar on top and then grilling it? Cheese on pseudo-cheesy oatcakes if you will.

Don't forget worcestershire sauce.

This has hit me hard, OP. I once bought a pack of 'lighter' crisps by mistake and this thread is quite triggering.

True, but it’s so bloody expensive now, and I’m poor.
