I want something nice for dinner but I don't have anything nice in.

Happy to cook as long as it doesn't take hours but equally happy for take away.

I want something dirty (think smash patty, cheesey burgers or something you'd get in a smokehouse but I don't have access to any of those!)

Hit me with suggestions

Cook some pasta, drain, add large knob of butter and generous black pepper. Meanwhile dice all vegetables and mix with the tuna. Once finished throw in the bin and order a large burger and any toppings with cole slaw, cheesy chips and drink of your choice. If you can get cheesecake or similar add that. Put telly on, feet up and get stuck in.

I'm travelling next tuesday. Can't be asked to cook and I'm clearing out my fridge. I went to the chippie.

Throw a net of mussels in the steamer, cook some linguine, stir in some pesto and voila!

"I had cock and McDonald's in the end "

Well if you got them both at the same place, the former can't have been very filling

We had this polite argument tonight. The better half insisting I decide what we will have, doesn't like my ideas. Will not say what she wants claiming she doesn't know. It gets late and we even disagree on a takeaway. In the end she does a deep freezer dive and we ended up with some forgotten Farm Foods purchases of microwave chips, rack of ribs and pulled pork with some boiled rice and peas. Cheap and bleak as it sounds it was pretty good overall.
