I don't think I have ever heard a muffled bell but I think the muffle produces something more like a humming noise. I hope to find out without having to stand too close to any ringers.

I'm pretty sure there is one instant James's park but I'm not a 100% and I couldn't find specific locations online although I didn't look that hard to be honest. X
