"Well, between them a a bud extinction rebellion, all they achieve is pissing off normal people who just want to get on with their daily lives and make an honest living. When someone mentions climate or animal rights, the first thing that enters peoples mind are activists. This makes people dismissive of their actual cause, so I believe they are doing more harm than good. Now I’m not an advocate of violence, but I feel that this new wave of activism is going to end badly when these people target the wrong person. Not everyone lives in their privileged world and has time to protest, and vandalise property, they are busy trying to make ends meet. " Violence totally is a rational response if people are trashing your property .. fear is something these insects need to learn in life at some point .

"Have they removed the women who superglued themselves to the speakers chair yet?" I’d leave them there, imagine having they’d free themselves after listening to the hot air spouted in there!

"They need a good beating to straighten them out ideally. Thankfully they will get charged for criminal damage and aquire nice criminal records. Hopefully some will lose their jobs as they get called out to bosses for being criminals Cause and effect " This may well happen.

They've been beaten into submission. It's a shame.

"I think of the women's suffrage movement when things like this happen. They chained themselves to railings and were civilly disobedient. I have to say I would have supported them which probably makes me hypocritical " But would you have supported wanton vandalism & criminal damage?

The movement saw the use of letter bombs, IEDs, arson, assassination attempts and various other direct action and violence committed.

"Animal Rebellion is just another offshoot of Extinction Rebellion which I've heard is known as an apocalyptic cult. What they're doing is not a protest. It's an attack on how we live lives and they need to be stopped." Arguably as do some of the ways we live lives.

Yea " When decades of peaceful protest go unanswered, and the requests for equality are ignored, where do you turn? What other methods do you have at your disposal other than to make yourself heard through physical means? The Suffragettes are considered to be heroes for their deeds, and what it lead to. Would you voluntarily give up those rights, which were hard fought for by the movement?

" My history isn't great but from what I've read, yes they were at times criminals, vandals and I believe bombers? Maybe wrong on the last one... I'm sure someone will correct me. Nelson Mandela was a terrorist but is now knighted... History is littered with "heroes" who at the time were doing a lot more than gluing their face to tarmac.

Most of us sleep walk through the impact we have on eachother the way we live our lives.. Most people resist change...
