We give a very easy conversation starter in our bio and people still can’t get it right.

Sorry. I might be using a turn of phrase.

More to go off - as in if there’s loads of detail, I know more about someone. But if it’s vague, there little I can talk about except the weather.

Profiles that are one lines…. There’s little to work with when you find them visually attractive. That kinda thing.

(The thread was a bit of a joke anyway.

Ah ok. I don't find it easy to write loads of detail - I don't have particular preferences. I don't want to talk about what I like sexually. So I keep it short.

No because the people I want to, chat to can and want to make conversations with me, I enjoy the finding out about each others likes and dislikes, It also leads naturally into the two day fade after you both decide to just let it slide away.

Or sometimes you just find that person you gel with and conversations just keep on flowing.

If I list all my likes and dislikes then I lose all the fun in the discovery of what makes him tick

There is enough almost any profile to have a stab at a conversation. You must have a reason for wanting to be in contact with somebody. Start with that. If it's to do with a photo, compliment the person and say why you like it. If the person is close to you then say so, talk about what you like about it, maybe restaurants, things to see, and ask how long they have lived there. You can even say that you don't have very much to go on and ask some questions. Just try to make it non-sexual and show you can chat without requiring you getting your end away.

If there really is absolutely nothing you can talk about, why do you want to contact them in the first place? Just move on.
