For fuck's sake I always buy these thinking "yes Timber today is the day to make healthy choices" but let's face it, I'm better off just having that fucking Kinder Bueno over half a bag of roasted cashews

Life.

Considering a half bag of nuts, depending on the size, is 300-500 calories, I think the chocolate bar is the better choice

Surely more nutritional value in the nuts though.

Usually hear how most supposedly 'healthy' alternatives really aren't even less sugar or fat or calories or whatever at all.

The only thing I'd focus on is how processed something is and waiting a bit before reaching for what I'm looking for, see if I still really want it after a bit.

I joke about the caveman test. Like, could a caveman have made this or eaten it? As, if not, your body isn't really designed/ equipped to process it, so will bundle it up and stash it somewhere inside you causing you to either gain weight or maybe even cause illnesses over time

(Not a doctor)

It's not possible to go all natural unless you're a millionaire perhaps, but I try to minimise it within my budget

I go by levels of carbohydrate. A handful of almonds and a couple of squares of 85% cocoa dark chocolate is s pretty good choice

I used to measure portions and put them in little pots for a snack at work. I stopped doing that a few years ago. I’ve been fat ever since

True, it depends on the persons goals as to whether it’s a Good choice or not. Underweight, pick the nuts, overweight, pick the chocolate

Everyone knows the best part of a bag of dry roasted nuts is the extra flavouring at the bottom. Gotta get through the rest of the nuts to get to that

The fat molecules in nuts are very hard for you to digest due to their compact make up.

The calorific value is decided by burning and measuring the heat output from a designated weight.

Your body passes a lot of the calories out as it cannot process the fat.

Much healthier than milk chocolate and on a par with dark chocolate.

This reminds me of when we had to weigh & burn peanuts on the bunsen burner in school

Yeah, it's usually best avoided.

Handful of almonds or whatever here and there, but coated flavoured ones, dangerous stuff.

I had a little cry after reading the calories in a bag of bombay mix.

Saddest noises.
