Obviously a pop classic but.... Listen to (Living a boy's adventure tale) it's one of those most would think they might pull off at karaoke, until the end bit. Wow, no chance!!

Mmmm. He did cover for acdc on tour and did a stellar job of Thunder Struck. But nah, not got the diversity of vocal gymnastics Morten has.

He has one of the top 10 vocal ranges on the planet. Vocal gymnastics can be learned ranges are inherent gifts.

Justin Hawkins is really good and has a great vocal range…

But right now I’d say Myles Kennedy of Alterbridge… check out Words darker than their wings (live) on YouTube

Agreed but I'm talking the overall expressiveness of a non classically trained pop singer whose voice gives busegumps in delivery.

So. A-ha.

It's very easy to shrug them off as another 80s boy band. Couple of catchy hits and nothing else.

But they were so much more. If Morten wasn't so incredibly good looking, people might have listened a bit more. As it was, they were dismissed as nothing more than some good looking lads put together for the MTV generation.

Imagine writing "The Sun Always Shines on TV" and it NOT being your most famous song? Imagine having "Hunting High And Low" in your repertoire and people hardly mentioning it? Imagine having the temerity to do a Bond song and wiping the floor with those that had tried before?

If A-ha had been around in any other decade than the 80s, the music press would have absolutely lapped them up. As it was, they were dismissed as one hit wonders and pretty boys.

But I don't care. This makes them even more special.

Well done OP for highlighting this.

And megalolz at whoever said Justin Hawkins

Matt Bellamy (Muse) has THE most incredible range.

Personally, on Aha, I liked Scoundrel Days as its that tricky "2nd album" and it's much more mature and assured. "I've been losing you", "manhatten skyline" ...and for pop you have cry wolf and weight of the wind....
