I think most men I speak to want to get straight to fun. I always insist on a social first or maybe more than one, to make the right decision fir me, hence I don't get many meets but those that make the effort reap the rewards!

Always a social first, personal safety, check you click, discuss boundaries in more detail perhaps just check you’re compatible basically. Works for me

Climate is - just because you turned up doesn't mean you can't get turned you away. Even if there's no social, doesn't mean sex is a given.

Social first for safety reasons as you never know who's actually going to turn up.

My friend agreed to meet a guy at a coffee shop, the/a guy turned up but not the guy in the profile picture. He still thought his luck was in just because he turned up. She said she needed to make a phone call outside and escaped. He even had the audacity to send her a message say she was a time waster.

We always go with each other now for safety and so someone has seen them.

If we get to the point of considering a meet I always suggest a social first, wherever the woman feels comfortable. I have only ever had a couple of socials through fab, that went no further than chat. Previous fwbs moved pretty quick to her house, at her suggestion, the other foregoing the social on the day and asking me to come straight round!

In both cases we had chatted for months beforehand, and I think that was key.

I find socials a little anxiety-inducing tbh. I've only had 2 - one went further, one didn't. I get confused (probably not the right word) if the word 'date' gets mentioned in a Fab context, like I don't know what's 'expected'.

It definitely says a lot about me if fucking a stranger causes me less anxiety than going for a drink.

I had this in meeting a guy once at costa coffee. Different guy but same clothing from pics. Said it was his mates pic. I laughed and walked off. He was swearing at me as I walked off.

It makes me chuckle, the absolute disconnect of experience between genders.

I mean realistically ladies, what precautions do you have to take from the outset.

Public setting, a friend knowing where you're going and whom you're seeing, the mid meet check in message to allay any conern to said friend.

And there are almost certainly more beyond that.

My biggest worry is "did I scrub my balls enough?"
