Adrian Monk, from the show "monk"

He's got crippling ocd and has trouble with many everyday things, including leaving the house. But his attention to detail serves him well as a detective.

Watched it by accident a few years ago, good show.

Technically, he was a lawyer (bit Ironside really) but then Jessica Fletcher was really a writer who supposedly just did a bit of sleuthing on the side.

And Quincy was a pathologist so it's a broad church.

Baretta...played by Robert Blake.

Theme tune sang by Sammy Davis Jr.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time....cause Baretta will catch ya.

Maybe not the smartest detective. But in 1975 he was so cool lol.

Although he never collects any evidence. He relies on the guilty party killing themselves. Judge, jury and executioner.

"I'm not saying I'd trust him to solve a crime because he lived in a caravan and his house never got built but does anyone remember Petrocelli?"

He was a lawer and had a very fit wife in it.
