"We always see this in profiles or messages. What is a professional guy/woman/couple? Are they better than everyone else at their job or some kind of spy? This is doing my head in. " Tell me about it ... At my job.. I have to ask for their occupation... And some people would just say ... "Ummmm put down professional" I say they are lizard people covering up their stories

"It's really best not to judge but I think it's fair enough lol Surely nothing to get hung up about or nasty in any way " Who's getting nasty and why shouldn't people judge? The whole point of having a profile is so somebody can judge whether you are likely to be someone they want to meet. Every single person that meets someone from here has made a judgement.

This thread has been put up to bash people who describe themselves as professional. They've been called twats and arrogant , up themselves, 'they think they are better than anyone else' ..... etc Why are that section of society okay to abuse openly ?? I couldn't possibly know that someone who can't possibly know whether someone is arrogant or thinks they are better than anyone else feels inadequate , could I ? But that's the point they didn't say they were arrogant did they. It was said to them it indicated that they were and if that's how they choose to filter profiles I really don't see the problem. Yes Lorna. People have quite clearly said that anyone who puts the word professional on their profile is this , that and the other. I do see the problem. This thread has been put up to bash people who describe themselves as professional. They've been called twats and arrogant , up themselves, 'they think they are better than anyone else' ..... etc Why are that section of society okay to abuse openly ?? It's just a highly unpleasant witch hunt of a thread. A little bitching corner. We may all hold opinions but it doesn't mean that we shouldn't exercise some control over the poison we spread. It's unnecessary. Well said Granny, couldn't agree more." Granny ? Lol

"To me it means they are likely to have a 9-5 job and can't meet up during the day. We used to have it on our profile along with having a young family, as an indicator that we don't have much spare time and that we can't do spontaneous meetings. "Saying someone is 'getting worked up' is a very basic way of deflecting and stalling and avoiding giving a simple straight answer to a simple question. Persisting in that line of pushback is immature imho. Having opposing opinions doesn't automatically change a discussion to an argument, even if they're strongly held. But trying to shout down an opposing view because they won't just slink away shows a person up." This.

"Another bitching forum post by inverted snobs who think they're better than everyone else because they don't describe themselves as professional. Perhaps you could tell me whether if you needed a doctor, a lawyer, a dentist, a brain surgeon, an accountant, a pilot or a teacher for your kids you would be happy going to the girl or guy at the local MacDonald's counter or a 'professional' who has spent years at University training. It's not saying that one is better than the other, just that you're more likely to have had more in common and common experiences. And what is wrong with that? Is it any different to stating a preference for an age range? " Some people get very upset indeed when they are excluded from fucking someone.

"I don’t mind if people state professional on their profile, but I personally don’t see the relevance. However, that doesn’t matter as it’s their profile, not mine. Anyone can be busy in their working life, privacy and discretion are important to most people and those in non professional professions might be equally as interesting, intellectually stimulating and eloquent as anyone else. Some of them might be equally or often more wealthy. (I know of lots of graduates who don’t work in their chosen academic field and a few who have gone on to learn a trade after getting their degree). And there’s some other common phrases that irritate me a little, but not enough to get worked up. “We don’t bite, unless you ask us.” Nothing wrong with the phrase, but it’s well overdone now. “Publicly traded blah blah” (especially when they put the numbers in there or mention Facebook). This is almost red flag status for me. It might not stop me being interested, but it’s definitely a discriminator. “If you don’t like [insert whatever here] move on” A worthy sentiment but a bit redundant as that is the case for anyone’s profile and any trait you can think of. And of course the good old “I can fuck, lick, splurge, squirt, make you do anything, best ever at” type statements that always make me think pride comes before a fall. But in the end, some people will think these are important things to include in their bio and some won’t agree. Happy fabbing all, and after reading some of the arguments above, I think I might look up some girl wrestling porn later. It’s got me right in the mood for it! Gbat " Well said
