Try WD40, I sat in some once and then transferred it to the car seat. Wd40 cleaned it off a treat.

Get dry ice spin the drum around to whare it’s stuck to

Sit it on it and let it freeze it till it’s hard and brake it off

Alternative you could use liquid nitrogen but run the risk off freeze the drum also

Oh OP. I really feel for you on this what a nightmare!

I’d advise packing your bags, relocating to another country, come back in 5 years and hope someone else has sorted it. It’s called self care.

I’ve chewed gum in a lot of places but never inside a washing machine.

This is what I’d do too.

That's crazy, I just can't see how a packet of gum unchewed in the pocket gets out and does damage to the machine, your so unlucky its happened to me and I just had a soggy packet of chewing gums thank god.

Try solidifying it with a block of ice ...make yourself a bit chunk in the freezer or try a bag of frozen peas

As people have said above, this wouldn't happen. I've washed a myriad of things in my machine including several packs or chewing gum and nothing terrible has ever happened.

Someone is just being a pickle and telling porkies

Wash your favourite garment in it...the gum is sure to get stuck all over it
