I find ibuprofen helps to reduce the inflammation.

Nothing gets rid of them. I apply a little face pack to them the hurry them along but basically they take their own sweet time to erupt in their full glory on important occasions

I have been using Epaderm ointment for a while now, you can use it as a face wash or as a cream, since I've been using it I haven't had period spot flare ups, it was my doctor who told me about it.

I usually go for a hot compress to try and draw it to a head. Really feel for you, deep down spots are so horrid

I usually use a hot sterile flannel. But sometimes you make it worse so it's best just to leave it.

If it's something that happens often I can not recommend Dermatica enough. I rarely get breakouts these days, even at that time of the month.

Not sure what that is, but like someone said Epaderm is just an emollient, but the problem I had for years is dry skin patches on my face and really bad spot outbreaks around my period, I tried every face wash and cream you can buy but I have sensitive skin so most times it made it worse, since using it I haven't had a period spot outbreak and my dry skin patches have cleared up and my skin feels a lot softer.

OP I’ve suffered terribly with my skin all my life and still get adult acne… Sometimes it used to get so bad I’d refuse to go out.

Then a friend recommended ‘the ordinary’ to me. I use their 2% salicylic acid serum every night before bed, I only use three drops and a bottle costs £5.

I’ve been using it since January and my skin has never been clearer… even during my period. I’ve even stopped wearing foundation/concealer etc every day when I go out and just use a tiny bit of tinted moisturizer.
