What is going with it. I'm now realising the bottles are coloured to disguise the repugnant piddle water it really is. The average abv is decreasing ever more. I'm not saying I've a taste for a brew so strong I need to swallow it twice but, 5% tastes like a beer, anything else is grim. I might have to become a real ale man.

It’s hard to get taste from rice…..

Most mainstream lager is bulked up with tasteless shite to keep profits high.

All this resurgence of craft and small breweries are really taking care when they choose hops and grain to add to a beer.

The way I see it is, life’s too short to drink shite you don’t like. Pay a little extra and you won’t look back at Budweiser ever again.

Craft beers are the way forward. There’s some lovely 6-8% ones kicking about but you need to try a few to find the ones you like.

I feel old now. Used to drink the stuff daily in my 20's/30's.

Bar a rare Corona (imported not the locally made shite) I've not had a lager in years.

Wine, decent vodka or fruit cider for me these days.

Went to real ale fair in Oulten broad a fair few years back. There was a brew at 12% proper falling down juice. I wussed it, I had the one at a a mere 10.5%

They do sell craft beers at my local supermarket. Trouble is. They're a sized 6 pack and cost +£10 rip off. That's like 2.5 pints.

The bottle colour is to block out UV light and help keep the lager more fresh not hide the colour.

Lovely beer. High ABV but you don't have to swallow it twice.

Nice lunch beer or couple in the afternoon ... certainly not a session drink !! I've tried it and regretted that

Much prefer the craft stuff myself, and the UK have some phenomenal craft breweries.

Am partial to DIPA and the slightly stronger stuff. Much rather spend some time appreciating a good 8,% beer than necking a few pints of commercial shit these days.

Must admit. Having spent a lot of time in Germany. They do have the best beers and lagers. So clean and fresh and completely hangover free.
