The flutter when you think about them

Recent conversations with a good friend have got me thinking about how much I love having feelings for someone!

What is it about liking or loving someone that you enjoy?

Is it the way you can’t help but smile when you think about them? Or that you can’t help but think of them randomly through your day? Or when you look at them and feel that something in your chest that feels like an ooft?

I’m feeling lovey doves today

I could put all I want here, but I’ll keep it short.

Some people come into my life and I’m teased with the excitement of wanting ‘something’ with them. I think about them after and there conversations with me make me want to know more. They cross my mind when I see things in the daytime because it would remind me of them.

I want to avoid the L word as much as I can, but desiring a person and those lustful thoughts because you like someone more than just looking at them is wonderful and enticing. It lights a fire inside that feels warm and wants to be fed the fuel it needs by interaction, touch and kisses, doing things together and sharing thoughts and dreams. ….

^ all of this and a life shared: memories, bucket lists and fuckit lists, humour, wants, likes, a million things not shared but supported.

Just a look to know they're getting what you're thinking and starting to laugh along or roll their eyes already.... or loosening their clothes and reaching for you

YES. YES. YES.

It’s the “They cross my mind when I see things in the daytime because it would remind me of them.” For me

What a lovely description

It’s normally the Ooft as I’m quite a sexually driven person. But there’s a couple of people I almost love Where I think about them and can actually feel my heart and know they have to be in my life forever - sex or no sex

The excitement of seeing them, the warm snuggly feeling you get when you think of them, it’s like having a bowl of ready brek and the glow.

The unexpected rush of love you feel.

I miss all that.

It’s everything from the way he looks at you to being able to be 100% yourself - when it doesn’t matter if your all bed head and wearing his baggy T-shirt or if your dressed to the nines -it’s when he see’s your beauty in its purest form and he still gives you that look that makes you weak at the knees. It’s his time that he chooses to spend with you, his affection in the smallest form from running you a bath to cooking you dinner. It’s when he shows you a side of him he’s perhaps tucked away due to previous pain and he trusts you with that side of him. When everything that’s problematic in your life pales into insignificance the minute he wraps his arms around you - he is both your safe place and your biggest adventure

That’s how I feel about him x

Manchester (he/him)

When they look at you like you’re the first cup of tea in the morning. When they hold you and that closeness grows as a warmth inside. When you’re driving and they touch your leg…

The small moments of intimacy that cost so little but mean so very much

I miss all of that and crave it again.

The excitement of the morning message, smiling when they call you and when you see them the desire for a kiss.

Nope. My worst feeling was when the penny dropped that they’d been pretending too have feelings like that for me.

Knowing they don’t is easy to understand and deal with.

*didn’t want to bring the vibe down on this thread but I had to answer.

Having good thoughts for someone who’s honest about things is still a wondrrful heart warming thing. I still like them loads, and they never or will try to hurt my feelings by being untruthful. *just relations to the original post and I know there’s a whole different worse feelings that can happen in actual active relationships.

Well, let me tell you 'bout the way she looked

The way she'd act and the colour of her hair

Her voice was soft and cool

Her eyes were clear and bright

But she's not there

I love the whole feeling - from just being in their company to day-dreaming about them when not.

Being able to be myself around them and seeing their desire for me.

That smile and those eyes that make me go weak and grrr at the same time

Doing new experiences with them - vanilla and kinky and being able to share each moment together.

When you snuggle in bed and you just fit together seamlessly. You know exactly where to stroke and touch and hold and kiss. You can just lie there and tease and caress each other in a lazy way and both know exactly which buttons to press

When I see I've got a message on my phone and I get that yay! feeling in my tummy because it's from them. Knowing where to touch them to make them melt and feeling them relax. Daydreaming about the stuff we'll get up to.
