So more like a speed trap rather than a bump, unless you're re talking a set custard. In which case, silly me.

But I'm with Red, I hate the stuff, so it being used in road works seems much more sensible than eating it...

YES! Somebody got it. Custard is a non-Newtonian fluid that reacts differently if you try to move through it quickly, compared to slowly.
