Does the person who's birthday it is just subtly drop hints, or is it like a pact thing.

She clearly doesn't. I mentioned to Russel Sprout ages ago that my birthday was in August. He has sent me a happy birthday message every day this month waiting for it to be correct. It's been a loong month for him
