Yes. My nan always stood at her front door and waved us goodbye until we were out of sight. Then my mum had to call her when we got home just so she knew we'd got in safe.

Leaving my parent; hug at the door. Get into the car and wave through the windscreen. Back the car out of the drive and flash the lights. Reverse into the street, wave again. Drive away and put the hazards in for a few seconds.

I think if I didn't do this they'd worry something was wrong lol
