"The trouble with jump scares is that they tend to follow certain tropes and you become desentsitised to them" Absolutely; I sadly, seldom even flinch these days as one tends to be able to see them coming a mile away (especially in modern horror films) Having said that, every now and then a scene surprises me; The lawnmower death scene in Sinister got me a good’un as did the completely unexpected and very dramatic death of a certain character in the film, The Forgotten - which was superbly done | |||
