actually the way that he has run canada's version of the bank of england he has done a really good job of weather-ing the storm of the recession... done a great job of getting the canadian dollar to almost 1:1 with the us dollar....

but i suppose it is a case of wait and see...

As a Canuck myself, I think I'm pissed off you've got him now! He's good, very good! Although we've not had same problems due to our legislation, he's been recognised globally as a good steward.

Mark Carney seems very capable on paper, his nationality isn’t really an issue its if he can do a good job and I am guessing he will but only time will tell.

I was at a conference today and one of the speakers was commenting that the government immigration cap is stopping business from relocating the best. So, does Mr Carney get in just under the cap limit? What is the number is reached before he arrives in post?
