We both unpack, hang stuff that needs it, put other stuff in drawers and toiletries in the bathroom

I take everything out and put it where I need it. That way it doesn’t get sandy.

My main reason for doing it is I check to see if any of the shampoos etc have burst in transit.

Same here. It only takes a few minutes and feels good. And unless I sm confident there is an iron in situ, I take a little travel one with me as like to scrub up well for dinner

Love this thread! Live out of a suitcase and within 5 minutes of arriving have messed up the room, get really annoyed with myself.

Clothes go away, toiletries and smellies go away then it's off to the supermarket for supplies.

Suppose it a case but mainly carrier bags home bargains are stronger.

I live out of a suitcase if it’s anything less than two weeks.

Depending on what time we arrive.

I like to hang up the stuff that creases first, then head off out to explore and eat.

Everything else gets sorted when we get back to our room.

If it's a caravan/chalet holiday we live out of cases and only hang up tops for the evening.

All toiletries are unpacked and put wherever they need to be.

I need a holiday.

I didn't bother unpacking when we went to Bruges as it was winter and we were only there for 3 days.

I use my cases for worn clothes I'm not washing while I'm away.

Central

I'm usually in full residence, all set out.

I once checked into a B&B,in Germany. After dropping my bag in the room, I went out. On my return, the owner's son had put all of my clothes into the drawers and wardrobes He crept around the place at all times, such as when coming back, late at night.

I checked out early. It was a little like Flowers In The Attic, a son deprived of daylight and healthy human contact. Forever committed to prowling around the guest corridors.

So... I'm a touring theatre tech. I practically live out of a suitcase for over half my life.

No point unpacking. Just organise the case to start with
