Favourite old fashioned sweet

I absolutely love those pretend peanut sweets that have two little real peanuts inside them. Particularly served in a paper bag which then really annoyingly sticks to then so you spend half an hour cleaning the paper off each sweet.

Somehow that just makes then more endearing.

What are your old skool favourites and why (bonus marks for any mischievous memories associated with them)

What's a Texan bar?"

'You wouldn't shoot a man before letting him finish his Texan bar would ya'?

I liked them but not sure what was inside. Nougat maybe covered in chocolate. My favourite st school early 80s until I discoveted Boosts.

I'll add Everton Mints (although I always thought Newcastle Mints would be more accurate) and cough candy.

Perhaps it's the adverts that helped with memory. Who could forget a finger of fudge?

Obviously in present company that advert has a whole new meaning.....
