No, as my ringtone is my last dog's favourite song, so it makes me smile remembering him come running and jumping on me whenever it goes

Mine is on vibrate and I will often jump as I don't expect to receive calls. If I accidentally change the setting to ring when fucking about with the volume watching something and don't notice I've done it, it proper fucks with me and I've launched it before now it's made me jump so bad.

Yes, so I throw it behind the sofa and hide until it stops making noise. Then I cry.

The landline rang the other day. I actually didn’t know what it was for a few seconds.

Many, many months since it was used.

BRIDPORT

No.

It’s how people get in touch with me.

I communicate with people far more on the telephone than any other way.

I do a bit of texting but emails can be counted in single figures per annum.

Same!! Followed by "they can leave a voicemail" if it's not my OH or one of my kids.

Newry Down

Yes. Because for several years I have ensured that I only receive (essential) communications by snail mail or e-mail.

Voice communication can be such a waste of time!

Mine's on silent when at work or when visiting people. I also have it set to automatically mute at 10pm until 7am, stopping all notifications, with the exception of calls from "Starred Favourite" contacts - my kids, parents, and close friends.

My ringtone is an extract from an instrumental section of one of my favourite symphonic prog rock song that I edited and uploaded to my phone.

I'm not startled by the house phone, but I tend to ignore it as it's usually the mother in law

No, it's annoying and distracting but at least you can get the conversation over and done with.

With messages it can take time for anyone to reply so I have to keep reading the last ones to remind me what we were messaging about

Hope that makes sense.

I made my favourite tune as my ringtone. Now every time the tune plays, in my playlist, I try to answer my phone. Not recommended when you are ironing.

"Nobody calls on the phone anymore.

"

I call all the time. I prefer that, many problems arise coz people dont chat like they used to. And assume, type wrong stuff. Or is mis understood!!

You can tell from talking, the voice tone, ask questions you need answered.

The art will die out..

"It does with me. I don’t like it"

My phone number is only given out to my parent, sibling, and daughter and all of those tend to just text me - plus medical people (GP, hospital etc)

If my phone rings then something is up
