I think swinging would go against most religious beliefs so it would probably be a contradiction to be a swinger and religious. As we all know religious people are never hypocrites.

Fuck no... Religion is a form of control for the simple-minded you must obey 10 commandments. Given to you by a mythological being called God that doesn't really love you. He says to do things wrong, not my way, and you get punished. Strong believers. Follow his 10 commandments. And they become unwell with cancer, leukemia, etc. There, following the rules and they're being punished. And there you go, the simple-minded following a faith ordered by a fictitious mythological being called God.

I say believe in science. Have faith in science. It's something that physically happens in front of you. With science, you progress, learn, and. Become more prosperous.

I do apologise for my outburst, but religion really irritates me.

Having been a choir girl and an alter girl as a kid I can totally understand the draw. That sense of community, belonging and being cared for isn't something I've ever felt since. Once I awoke to the hypocrisy and intolerance of it all at age 13 there was no going back. I'd rather be alone than be wilfully blind in order to fit in again.

Without question NO.

I find it utterly laughable that anyone in this day and age believes in mysterious virgin births, angels and sky pixies.

Organized religion of any for is just a money grabbing way to control the weak and desperate.

Not all that North of North London

I'm an aethiest/humanist. I'm actually quote committed to it, I have a humanist funeral planned, I don't celebrate Christmas or Easter, I fully believe that we should live in a secular society.

But i fully respect other people's views and beliefs I won't belittle them and I don't have a lot of time for those aethiests who seem to believe that being aggressive towards religions and the religious is somehow necessary.

No credible evidence as I view it for the current lot of religions. Presumably the thousands of other religions before this lot had no basis in reality, so it seems dire odds that there's currently 1 that's not the same and based on what some people want, rather than something that is anyway, likely outside of intelligible scientific sense

I’m non religious but not anti religion. My sons best friend recently ended his life and his parents took immense strength from their faith! If it helps people but doesn’t infringe on my rights then I have no issue with it!

In the weeks following his funeral their faith based community really supported the parents and helped them get through it.

Not particularly but I don't mock or disagree with those who do because for some people their belief might be all they have and if that gives comfort then I'm all for that.

Yes.

Prove it isn't true."

The burden of proof is on those party making a claim, not for those opposing it. If religion could offer up any evidence then it could be evaluated, but it hasn't happened. Look up the flying teapot analogy by Bertrand Russell.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I'm agonistic more than anything else. Or maybe spiritual I don't know but I don't believe in a set religion or churches etc. I don't really give much thought to it if I'm really honest.

In saying that I would never mock or belittle anyone who is religious and have their beliefs. In my job I've seen how much people's faith has helped people at some of the worst times of their life and how it can bring peace to people who are close to death. It is not my place or would I want to mock them and or tell them they shouldn't believe in something that helps them so much. I have more respect for others to do that. The same as I don't expect anyone to try and convert me to their way of thinking.
