Has anyone grown these? I have this year and while there are plenty of recipes on line I'd like to know if anybody has actual experience of cooking with them.

Sexy eh?

I've only ever used them once to make a salsa. They are really delicious and they are quite easy to prepare from what I remember.

Salsa seems to be the most popular recipe. The ones I've tasted so far haven't been unpleasant but I wouldn't buy them in a shop

I get that, whilst I enjoyed it it's not something I felt the need to try again.

From my experience so far I wouldn't rush out for seeds

Out of curiosity, why did you grow something you didn't know you would definitely like to eat or know what to do with ?

I don't ever see them anywhere apart from buying them as expensive imported Cans on the internet so I think I'll grow some next year too.

I recommend it if you like them. I just put a few left over plants in the ground and ignored them and they've really taken off. The ones I carefully tended in the greenhouse died .
