I am not bothered and sometimes the screen name is so appropriate it feels just right to call them that.

What I find confusing soemtimes is when a profile name suggests a name, then there is another name mentioned in the profile further down but neither are the real names.... with my advancing years I simply cannot remember three names per person...

Lickety is called Gertrude

Pearlnecklace is called Babs

Femmefatale is called Esmerelda

Rusty is called Delilah

Cutensassy is called Peggy-Sue

Granny Crumpet is called Ethel

Minxie is called Priscilla

And I'm really Kermit.

Caz is my real name (well Carolyn, but it's near enough) however I'm usually referred to by a nickname that I've had since I was 9 that even my family use so those that have met me usually know both names but I'm getting more used to responding to Caz and don't really mind which folk use, so long as they're yelling my name in ecstasy that's all that matters

Yes at socials I'll answer to Ruby and Sophia. I once had a guy call me Ruby while we were in a private room and I did think it was quite hot having an alter ego haha!

Most people I've chatted to via pm know my name. People knowing it doesn't bother me.

I tend to think of people I met online by their screen name. In fact I still had a friend I've known for years listed in my 'phone by her username until fairly recently.
