When stressed? I’m very stressed today. I usually have a bath. I might fall asleep and [redacted] if I had a bath today though.

Anyway how do you destress/ unwind?

Sounds like the start of a good crime series. Kidding. Sounds amazing right now. Always a pleasure to see you Frida.

Run..... Or swim.

Any form of exercise really. Unless I'm 'stuck' (PTSD). If I'm stuck it's usually a case of just sitting at the table looking at the table till I can motivate myself to get a cup of camomile. Then keep moving.

Long relaxing bubble bath with salts, candles and pretty scented things is a great start. Have a drink (beer, wine) and eat some food. If you smoke, have a smoke. Have a wank or some sex or both.

This is in no particular order, do which ever you want first

Good luck, hope you feel better

Usually a walk with my headphones in around the park or along the waterfront, long bubble baths with relaxing music, and writing my worries/stresses out and crumpling them up and chucking them in the bin works for me

My go to activity when stressed is a walk. It helps to calm me, I get fresh air, exercise and see the local area which distracts my mind.

I am very very lucky to have Mr NBVN as my partner and he always comes walking with me to keep me company, listen and chat.

I always feel a lot better, focused and generally have a plan to put in place by the time the walk is done.

Other times I have taken myself out for a long run, music on and totally switch off my mind to concentrate on my running and performance. This is great for those grrr days.

I am an emotional eater and I try to avoid buying chocolate or cakes when stressed because I will wallow in self pity and self loathing after and feel bad about myself on top of the issue I am already stressed about.

Music has a positive influence on my mood and if I'm home alone I would put music on and dance it out of my system.

NBVN x

Mindfulness excercises help me, being out in the green, avoiding unhelpful people. If it's very bad I should really get my DBT folder out and find the appropriate coping skills, but I never seem to think of it at the time

Newry Down

I go out for a very long vigorous walk, followed by coffee and cookie in my favourite cafe, followed by a long soak in a hot bath followed by a vigorous session with a fwb, no holds barred.

When I have progressed thru this algorithm, I have forgotten what was originally irritating me!

If I’m stressed it’s usually due to being up against a deadline. If the opportunity arises I masturbate, feel better, then stress more about the time I’ve spent doing it…..

I must be some kind of wanker - with poor time management
