*Only* cost £85.50 to fill up my tank today, now that petrol is down to ~1.69.

Sad state of affairs that I'm excited about this

Shine a light, it's still a lot dearer up here in the impoverished north! It's 1.75p min for petrol and paid 1.82p for diesel on Sunday

I drove past a garage on the A180 near Grimsby and it was 165.9! Maybe bargain isn’t the right word still but it’s going in the right direction!

Nice. Pity that the energy companies are still charging us through the nose while recording record profits

It’s still loads cheaper than beer, even in Wetherspoons

Excellent comparison, we often run our vehicles on cheap beer and cider...

Coventry

I seen 172.8 today. Last time I filled the car it was 183.

Mixed blessings though. I heard the price drop is part due to a slowing economy and slowing production cutting demand. So in some ways not a good sign. I'm sure the treasury is not so happy about it either.

"I haven't paid for diesel for nearly a year ( shhhh dont tell anyone ) "

Mind, I did see an article about a guy who went to the till and only paid about 2/3 of his total as in his opinion "that's how much the fuel is worth", insisting this was totally legal...

Much like the Don't Pay movement, I have a feeling that stories like these about people trying to mould their own laws will only become more common.

I saw that. It's not legal I believe... it's theft.

I mean, I could be wrong...

I'm guessing red diesel intended for agricultural use?
