Same bad feeling here, just the way I usually have bad feelings for any boxer who is making a 'comeback' Look back thro' the books at these comebacks and generally, they've been awful or even worse a danger to themselves.

Stay retired fellas and let your fans enjoy the highlights rather then seeing their heroes battered to a bloody pulp in the name of making a couple o' quid

Think he will be ok in this fight. Hopefully he will fight Malignaggi and win his world title and that will be enough for him to exercise his demons and settle bak into retirement.

Will fear for him if he takes on the big hitters in the division.

yep,he should have stayed retired.

Comebacks often distort your memories.

Not too sure about this fight, Ricky has abused his body far too much for a professional athlete, could see this going wrong.

Have to agree with the comeback/stay retired comment. Redemption (read pride) is the issue though not the money according to the fighter.

Generally steer clear of any PPV fights, we pay throught the nose for our sports subscriptions anyway and they wanna charge on top of that. I know it's the promoters that organise the PPV rights etc but still, I begrudge paying out, rather wait for the re runs a few days later

I really hope he does well. He really has worked hard to get back. I'm getting excited but I'm bloody nervous too. Have met him on more than a few occasions. Great guy with a cracking sense of humour.

I really don't see the appeal in 2 men battering each other in a ring their energy could be put to so much better use.

Yeah he needs to find it within himself. Hes achieved alot. Not many people have had a shot at both Pacquiao and Mayweather. A great boxer in his prime.

Meanwhile Paulie Malignaggi has been a great sport tonight. Nothing but praise. A changed man in the last couple of years

As I went to pay my tab the other day, I was very surprised to see Ricky Hatton behind the bar.

"9 rounds" he says "couldn't you just make the 10?"

"Sorry" I replied "we haven't been drinking for 3 and a half years and just can't handle the shots"

In a way I'm sort of glad he lost - his phenomenal work rate and sheer bloody-mindedness couldnt sustain him against the very top level, and with such a driven individual I reckon he'd want to keep pressing for a title. Possibly with serious long-term repercusions. Maybe he'll hang his gloves up now for good. Going out against The Pacman shouldve been the full-stop his career 'deserved' rather than a defeat to someone he wouldve put away when he was firing on all cylinders. I'm not revelling in his defeat at all, just hoping he'll jack it in before his record and legacy is made to look worse than it should do

People like Hatton pay 'advisors' a lot of money to point them in the right direction.

Which advisor thought tonight would be better for anything other than his own pocket?

i watched it tonight in the pub, ricky looked his age and showed he hadnt boxed for three years, spent most of the fight punching thin air, the guy was younger and quicker and made him look a fool, retire now ricky while your still held in asteem and somebody doesnt have to prove painfully that your time has been and gone !!!!!!!!!!!

He didn't look a fool, defiantly connected with many shots and was very even on the score cards until he was knocked down

Boxers are their own worst enemy. Everyone has been telling him to quit, but like most people, he's got to find out the hard way.

He did ok though, he wasn't disgraced, and the guy who beat him was a recent world champion.

Senchenko..."younger looking" maybe but not younger. Senchenko is 18 months older - born on 12-4-1977....Ricky Hatton born on 6-10-1978. I guess the past few years lifestyle has caught up with him.
