There are some brilliant xmas booze deals about at the moment.

Advanced warning

Some great deals coming up from 26th (for one week only) for customers of a certain supermarket who's name begins with M. Glenfiddich 70cl and Remy VSOP 70cl for £20

Grant's, Three Barrels, Green Mark Vodka 50cl and Warninks 70 cl all £10

(Green Mark currently £15 for 70cl at JS)

I'll keep you posted of any others I come across on my work travels

In ASDA's right now - All the usual suspects in the 'spirit world' @ £12 a litre bottle.

Think Madam has been stocking up on her friend, Mr Smirnoff.....

I really don't understand why the supermarkets put limits on the number of bottle you can purchase!...If people want more than the limit it's pretty obvious they are are going to go through the checkout's (either instore or online) more than once with a friend or partner making the second purchase

I have bought my son a bottle of the Jack Daniel's Single Barrel, he'd better drink it slowly

Some great bargains available there As an ex malt whisky distillery worker I'm spoilt, getting the stuff for about 1/3 the price of the retail price Most of my family and friends don't like whisky though....ah well....I do...!

Only got into that this year, don't like any other spirit than gin or cocktails etc but very partial to this now

And well we get the biggest bottle available we can now lol

We actually have a stack lot of booze always in the house, to cater for all tastes...

So realistically will only need some white wine for Christmas now.

Lidl are doing a @ 28% alc cont coconut rum at a fiver a bottle and it tastes not bad! Also doing an Amerretto 50cl for same price - though I understand olc content of that one only around 14%..

I've tried the Lidl Amaretto it's much the same as the Morrison's one, all the taste without the kick, which just makes me want to glug it by the pint!

I buy the bog standard Amaretto from Sainsbury's or Tesco when I'm feeling poor (Same product in each but Sainsbury's is cheaper) thats 22% vol, still not as good as Disaronno's 28%vol...Nice though

It's to try to prevent local corner shop owners taking advantage...it doesn't really as they just go to different stores with the whole family but I guess it makes it more of a challenge for them!
