I knew one of the set designers. He told me that they installed drainage pipes for the rabbits. Unfortunately whenever they started filming and wanted the rabbits to be running on or eating the grass, they hid inside the pipes.

The crew would then poke sticks up the pipes to “coax” out the rabbits.
